Sales Jobs in Pakistan: Salary, Requirements, and Where to Apply

Sales jobs in Pakistan are among the most commonly advertised job categories, covering titles such as Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, Sales Representative, and Business Development Manager. This guide covers what these jobs involve, what they typically pay, what employers look for, and where to find genuine openings.

What Do Sales Jobs in Pakistan Involve?

A sales or business development role usually involves finding new customers, following up on leads, explaining a product or service, negotiating terms, and closing deals. Many positions also include ongoing client relationship management after the sale.

Titles can overlap a lot in this field. A “Sales Executive” role at one company can look very similar to a “Business Development Executive” or “Customer Sales Representative” role at another, so read the full job description rather than judging by the title alone.

How Much Do Sales Jobs Pay in Pakistan Pay?

Sales salaries vary more than most other job categories because many roles include commission or performance-based pay on top of a base salary. Based on Indeed Pakistan’s company-level salary data, average monthly pay for a Sales Executive at different employers ranged from about PKR 36,000 to PKR 63,000, with Business Development Executive roles averaging somewhat higher, often between PKR 55,000 and PKR 61,000 at the companies checked.

Some individual job ads offer more for specialized or B2B sales roles. For example, listings for SaaS and site sales roles I came across were advertised at PKR 100,000 or more per month, usually requiring several years of relevant experience.

These figures are estimates from job postings and should not be treated as guaranteed pay. Always check whether a listed salary is a fixed base amount or includes commission targets you would need to meet.

What Are the Requirements?

  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Confidence in cold calling or meeting new people
  • Basic knowledge of CRM software
  • Willingness to work toward monthly or quarterly sales targets
  • A degree is often preferred but not always required
  • A personal bike or vehicle for field sales roles in some cities
  • Sometimes product or industry-specific knowledge, such as retail, FMCG, or a particular product category

What I Found on Rozee.pk

When I searched “Sales Executive” on Rozee.pk and reviewed the filters, one thing stood out immediately: a single employer, Naseeb Enterprise Inc, accounted for about 1,980 of the listings, almost matching the entire “Business Development” industry count (1,989). This means the totals by city, experience, and industry in this search are heavily skewed by one company’s bulk postings and should be read with caution rather than as a picture of the whole market.

With that caveat, some patterns are still useful. The category itself covers many overlapping titles: Sales Executive alone had about 98 listings, with related titles adding more, including Business Development Executive (53), Business Development Manager (27), Sales Representative (27), and Customer Sales Representative (21). By city, Lahore had the most listings (993), followed by Karachi (703) and Islamabad (247).

By experience, very few listings were tagged “Fresh” (50), while a separate Career Level filter showed 99 as “Entry Level,” so it’s worth checking both filters rather than relying on one. Far more listings asked for 2 years (939) or 5 years (991) of experience. Almost all listings were day-shift and office or field-based; only 53 were remote and 10 hybrid. Most listings (2,225) had no gender preference, though some specified Male (192) or Female (99).

What Questions Are Asked in Sales Interviews?

  • Tell us about yourself
  • Why do you want to work in sales
  • Sell me this pen, or a similar product-pitch exercise
  • How would you handle a customer who says no
  • Describe a time you missed a target and what you did about it
  • Are you comfortable with cold calling or field visits

Interviewers are usually looking for confidence, clear communication, and a realistic understanding of how sales targets work, rather than a perfect scripted answer.

How Can a Fresher Get a Sales Job?

Since most listings ask for 2 or more years of experience, a fresher may need to specifically search for terms like “Fresh,” “Trainee,” or “Junior” in the job title. Internships in sales or marketing, even short ones, can help you stand out.

Keep your CV focused on communication skills, any customer-facing experience, and results you can point to, even from college projects or part-time work. Being upfront about being a fresher and highlighting your willingness to learn can work in your favor for entry-level sales roles.

How to Avoid Sales Job Scams

  • The job promises income far above what similar roles pay
  • You are asked to pay money before being hired
  • The company cannot be verified through an official website or job portal
  • You are pressured to accept immediately without a proper interview

Always verify the company independently before accepting an offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a degree required for a sales job?

Not always. Many companies prefer a degree but will hire based on communication skills and confidence, especially for entry-level roles.

Can I get a sales job without experience?

It’s possible, but harder than in some other fields since most listings ask for 2 or more years of experience. Look specifically for “Fresh” or “Trainee” listings.

Do sales jobs always include commission?

Not always, but many do. Some roles are pure base salary, others are base plus commission, and a few are commission-only. Always check the pay structure in the job ad.

Can sales jobs be done remotely?

Very few can. Based on the listings reviewed, remote and hybrid sales roles were a small fraction of the total, since most involve meeting clients or working from an office.
